Spring into fun

I'm seriously beginning to wonder how on earth I'll ever blog again once baby #4 gets here since I can't find time to do it now. I watch my little blog feed fill up with posts from friends and others that I follow and I find myself wondering: "how...how do they find the time" and truth be told I'm a little jealous. This has become the main way I document our lives...our online scrapbook. So: no matter how far behind...I pick myself up when I have a spare few minutes (rare occurrence) and try to get a post up. Currently I'm picking up right after Easter - with some fun in the sun and a fun day spent with friends at a carnival at Union Academy.

This boy has mastered the play set steps - it still makes me nervous, but more often than not he makes it to the top without issue.
He can even take a break to say "cheese" to his Momma. Ha!

Avery always has a toy in hand...in the yard, in the car, in the house - wherever we go she wants to bring something. So precious:
She's been wanting to grow her hair long so that she can braid it. I do love her short little do, but it's been growing and growing and we actually put the first braid in her hair today.

Kennedy's school has two big fund raisers each year - one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Her school requires quite a bit of volunteerism from parents and so we gladly signed up to volunteer at the water stop for the 5K on the morning of the carnival. Of course we took our little ones along with us (K was having a sleep over with some friends who would join us later in the afternoon). Avery only stood for standing on the sidelines observing the whole process for a few minutes and then she was all in
Truthfully, I'm fairly certain that 90% of the runners that stopped to get water from her only did so because they thought she was so precious...not because they were thirsty :).

I mean seriously - look at her face!!! She was dedicated.
Each time a runner would take a cup from her, she'd get this super satisfied grin and then she'd rapidly grab another and assume the position.
After the 5K wrapped up it was time to have some fun at the carnival. First up, Plinko!
Each grade had a little booth set up with games and prizes. They did such a good job making it fun and special for each child.
This booth was dangerous - you just walked in and could fill a bag with whatever candy selections you'd like.
 look out! Nom Nom Nom.
This was the kindergarten "booth". As kindergarten parents, we were to bring in 8 jars a piece for the carnival. If they "jingled" a ring on a jar, they won it with all it's fun contents.
 Yay Avery!
Avery's friend Katelyn went next and she won a jar too. So fun!

 ~LOVE~

 Face painting fun!
The first graders did a tie-dye t-shirt making station. Kennedy and Becca enjoyed this so much and their shirts turned out so super cute!

After we made our rounds at the carnival we had a picnic lunch and followed that up with some snow cones. Fun times had by all!

Sweet Avery was melting (literally and figuratively) at this point...can you tell? Ha!
Here's hoping I can post again before another month goes by. Don't hold your breath ;).
